Honeymoon Day 7

So fast! It's already the last day in Korea... We were the 1st to reach the place where we had breakfast... I wouldn't call this a restaurant coz it dun look like one.. We even have to clear our own plates when we've finished breakfast.. I had mainly porridge with some side dishes..

We then went to Cordyceps Monopoly Show Room! We were the onli tour grp in there @dat time! LOL! I was tempted to buy some cordyceps for Granny.. Upon 2nd thoughts, I din buy since I've already bought the Ginseng Extract for Granny.

Next is the Amethyst Factory. We were also the 1st tour grp to reach.. None of us bought anythiny from there coz it realli doesn't seem appealin... In fact, Darlin & I onli walked one round, then we went back to the coach.. Haha!
Seein dat we're still early, Allen brought is to Korea's Nv Ren Jie! It was so-called coz a women universiy is nearby, and the street is often "invaded" by women! LOL! Of coz, there're still items for the guyz to buy... Haha! Darlin bought 4 Tee-Shirts (one for himself, then the rest for John, Allan, & Gary), while I bought another 2 pairs of high-class slippers, and 2 tops! LOL! We then went past a small shop which sells ice-cream waffle! We bought one, and WOW!! It was YUMMIE though the look doesn't seem so.. But again, looks can b deceivin.. LOL! All the way, we bumped into Jin Zhi & Wei Heng.. Seein dat the ice-cream looks delicious, they also went to buy! Haha!

B4 departin to the airport, Darlin & I bought 2 bread from a Paris Crossiant. The bread there look so NICE!! And, indeed, it tasted GREEAAT, too!

We had lunch @the airport.. Dunno y, I had cravin for Korea Instant Noodles.. But we couldn't find any convenience stores @the airport.. Finalli, I settled for Hot Bibimbap with Kimchi and Pork soup while Darlin had KFC.. LOL! The bibimbap is nice!

B4 boardin the flight. Darlin & I shared a small tub of Haagen Daz ice-cream! Hmmm... DELICIOUS!!!! Finalli... It's time to go home...... Can ya imagine wat I ate on the flight?? Cold Bibimbap!!!......... *FAINTZ* Haha!

B4 I forget, a BIG THANX to our wonderful tour guide, ALLEN LIU, for the great hospitality and sotry-tellin thru-out the whole trip! =ppp

Honeymoon Day 6

After breakfast, we went to the Ginseng Monopoly Room! I've heard dat the Ginseng are expensive.. But I din know they're SO EXPENSIVE! After hearin out on the benefits of Ginseng, Darlin & I decided to buy a box of Ginseng Extract made from 6yrs old Ginseng (Ginseng is the best @dat point of time!) since it's good for diabetics patients.. I wanna buy for Granny... it cost ard SGD540 (ard USD300 if I never rem wrongly) for a box of 6bottles Ginseng of 100ml each, and in fact, it's the cheapest they have in the shop! *faintz*
Next, we went for Kimchi Makin Session! Well, luckily, it's not very difficult to make.. Haha! We even wore the Korean traditional costume to take pics after the session! Fun!

Gyeongbockgung Palace is next! It's realli HUGE! We were shown the various rooms of where the Emperor & Empress sleep, where the Empress kept all her clothes, where the Imperial Physicians stayed, etc.. Imagine havin a WHOLE ROOM to keep ur clothings!!! So cool!!! Allan also told us some history of the Emperor.. Interestin! We were then shown the walkway in the palace where the show Da Chang Jin was taken! LOL! Darlin & I even took a pic there with us standin in the walkway! Haha!

The coach drove past the Blue House (where the Korea Gov't stays) while on the way to lunch. Well, yupz, it's big, and with lotsa flags from different countries hangin outside! Haha! Lunch was @a restaurant located in a street where Allan told us local Koreans (especialli females) dun dare to linger ard when night time comes coz the street is full of US Army at nite. And when the US Army does anythingy wrong e.g humiliatin females (which have happened b4), even the Korea Gov't dun dare do anythingy to them since South Korea is indebted to the US Army when South Korea was @war with North Korea in the past... Sighz..

After lunch, it's to FACE SHOP!!! Dat's wat I've been lookin forward to the whole trip!!! The items there were muchie cheaper than those sold in S'pore!!! I juz grabbed whichever item I like even lookin @the price!!! I spent SGD400+ there and coz of dat, I'm entitled to a free luggage! And WOW! The items I bought filled up the ENTIRE luggage!!! Hahahahaha! I bought mainly facial masks (lotsa different ones) and eye masks! *happie* Darlin was also tempted by the items, and bought a toner, facial moisturizer, and a hair tonic! LOL!

Picasso Street is next! It's so-called coz there're more arts & cultural pieces there.. But still, ya can shop there one!! I din managed to get anythingy from there though...

In the late noon, we went to Lotte World! Lotte World is divided into indoor & outdoor rides. Indoor will b rides which are not so dangerous while the outdoor rides are realli for those very adventurous & darin ppl! Since I'm unable to play dangerous rides, Darlin also never play.. *thankie, Darlin* We onli took a tram ride to c the overall of Lotte World (but onli the indoor one coz it's not safe to go outdoor since it juz rained not long ago).. We also took a shootin ride! Wat we need to do is to sit on a movin horse and try to shoot some movin targets!! LOL! It was fun! We also went to sit in for a 3D movie! With all the effects which we dun get to experience in S'pore, we realli enjoyed ourselves! The next one is the not-so-fun one.. We went inside a theatre, and get to c a short show.. Well, on and off, there're some little surprises... But overall, it's realli a borin one.. I even almost dozed off in the midst of it.. LOL! We ventured out to outdoor Lotte World. The rides look realli scary!!!

Darlin & I had our dinner in Lotte World! As I was famished, we juz settled on Lotteria Burger. We 1st ate Lotteria Burger in Japan, and it was realli YUMMIE!!! This time round, we ordered a set each, and even had side dishes to go along... We were very full after the dinner! We continued to walk ard, and when the time has come, we went back to the indoor Lotte World to view the parade!
It's the 1st time we're viewin a parade. Unlike in Disneyland Tokyo, there isn't any queue for the parade. We stayed till the parade is over we made our way to Seoul Grand Hilton Hotel for our accomodation for the nite. Seoul Grand Hilton Hotel is indeed the best!!

Honeymoon Day 5

We had American style breakfast again @the hotel! The selection today was betta than yest... Luckily.. Haha! At least, there's cereal! LOL!
We made a transfer to Seoul b4 we went to Teddy Bear Museum, & N Seoul Tower! Both the locations are situated side by side each other! LOL! We went into Teddy Bear Museum 1st. There were SO MANY different types of teddy bears in so many differetn types of costumes! So CUTE! I took pics with quite a lot of them! A few of them were abt my height! Wow! Then we walked into N Seoul Tower. As expected, there isn't muchie to look at.. LOL! The most romantic thingy we did there was to make a LOVE LOCK! On the lock was engraved with "Jack & Jas 10.05.08. Everlastin." So cool! It cost us abt SGD22.50 (19,800 Won). Though it's a bit ex, but Darlin & I tink it's worth it! Hee.. We then locked the LOVE LOCK onto the LOVE FENCE, and threw the keys down! This symbolizes dat our love for each other is forever lock onto each other!!! *happie*
Had hot Bibimbap (Yummie!) with cold side dishes (I like the shredded radish the best!) & soup for lunch! There's Tang Hoon, Bean Sprouts, Pork, and Cabbage inside the soup! Delicious!

Shoppin is next! We went to Dongdaemun Mkt (one of the biggest wholesale mkt in Korea)! I started my shoppin spree there!! I bought 2 pairs of slippers (10k Won each), one top (18k Won), one shorts (15k Won), and a hand-carry bag (40k Won, reduced from 53k Won, all thankie to Darlin's great negotiation skills) while Darlin bought a Polo-Tee for 20k Won (reduced from 28k Won). To my surprise, Dongdaemun isn't to quite wat I expected. I had thought it'd b like the Wu Fen Pu in Taipei.. But it's not.. It's actualli more like S'pore's Far East Plaza.. With nicely decorated shoppin centres and even very nice washrooms! There was once I was shoppin in there, and needed to go to the Ladies. I saw a Women's Powder Room, and walked into it. It was very spacious, and beautiful. There's even 2 sofas in it, and 2 ladies were sleepin on it. Though there are cubicles, there weren't any soap dispenser. I then walked out. Not long after dat, I saw another signboard which read "Washroom"... It was then dat I realized the 2 rooms were different.. One is actualli purely juz for makeup!!! *faintz*

Next shoppin area is Myeongdong Street. Allan said this is supposed to b like Orchard Rd in S'pore.. But faintz... Dat's more like Wu Fen Pu!!!.... Yet, the prices are not negotiable! And there's even illegal hawkers! *faintz* It was rainin by the time we reached so Darlin bought a foldable umbrella for 6k Won. Awhile later, the rain stopped! While shoppin, I bought a Chewistry from Dunkin Donuts! *yummie* It was very chewful but not advise to eat one all by oneself coz it seems a bit too muchie.. Haha! At Myeongdong Street, I bought a bag for onli 10k Won, while Darlin finalli bought his Levis cap (28k Won b4 10% discount)!

Had BBQ Pork (again!) for dinner. But the pork this time tasted betta when wrapped with veggie rather than with rice.. There's seaweed soup , too.. But I'm startin to get tired of it.. Our accomodation for the nite was Seoul Garden Hotel. It's the best hotel I like so far coz there's shampoo, conditoner, shower gel dispenser, and even foam soap to wash hands! There's also more shops nearby for us to shop ard!!!
Darlin & I bought a bread each (Pizza Sandwich with Cheese for me, & Thick Milk Toast for Darlin) from Paris Baguette which is very popular in Korea (there's already 3 outlets ard the hotel!).. We then had coffee with Jin Zhi, Wei Heng, their Mom, and their Auntie. After the coffee session, Darlin & I continued with our walk. We ended up buyin 2 pieces of Fried Chix for 5k Won! We went back to hotel to enjoy the food! But to our disappointment, though the fried chix looks delicious, it's tasteless... *faintz* Luckily, there's salt provided.. If not, I dun tink we can finished the chix... As for the bread, mine tasted normal, while Darlin's one realli wasn't very fanstastic...

Honeymoon Day 4

Yeah! Finalli we got away from Korea style breakfast!! It's American style today @the Resort! Haha! However, the selection was abit disappointin.. The more appealin ones are onli the sausages, luncheon meat cubes, scrambled eggs, and fries... There's not even cereal in sight.. =-(

We then went to Mt Sorak. We took a 5mins cable car ride up there! I've never sat in cable cars b4... Hee.. So it's a 1st time for me.. LOL! Very Sua Gu horz... Haha! The cable car is very big! After the cable car ride, we still gotta walk some distance b4 we reached Mt Sorak! Yeah! We've reached!!! No wonder Mt Sorak is a MUZ GO!!! The view is SPECTACULAR!!! It was VERY windy, too!!! We took a few pics b4 we went down the hill..

We had Bibimbap for lunch. We saw the whole process of how Bibimbap was cooked. Interestin! But I muz say, I dun realli like to eat the Bibimbap.. This is a cold version of Bibimbap.. I prefer the hot version one... Next is to make Cheese ourselves @Pyongchang Wind Village!!! It was fun! The cheese is made mainly from 2Litres of fresh mailk, and some sea water. After the cheese is made, we ate it with corn chips and either berry jam or salt. I tried both, and both are equalli yummie! Haha! The owner of the factory where we made cheese is very generous, too! Each table (consistin of 4 ppl) get to bring home a bottle of red wine! Wow! For those who dun drink red wine, ya can choose to have ur cheese to go with orange juice..

Within the same place, we went to feed sheeps! Well, I din feed the sheeps though.. Darlin is the one who did the feedin.. Hee.. We saw lotsa sheeps, and spotted a black one too! The black one was so small dat it can slipped thru the fence! It scared us, especialli the kidz, intialli when we saw it inside the feedin area! LOL!

Again, within the same place (so ya can imagine how BIG the place was), we went for ATV rides! It was VERY FUN!!! But I dare not ride one ATV one my own, so I shared one with Darlin.. Hee

We then made our way to Yongpyong Dragon Valley Resort Hotel. Darlin took the 2 kidz (Jin Zhi & Wei Heng) to spa while I stayed in the hotel room, eatin instant noodles.. I was realli hungry then since lunch wasn't very fulfilin.. Hee..

Had Fish Soup (which I din enjoy) for dinner. I ended up eating the side dishes which is sardine fish & seaweed instead.. LOL!

Darlin & I shopped ard awhile b4 we went back to the hotel to rest for the nitez..

Honeymoon Day 3

Had Chinese style breakfast with porridge, fried chinese dumplin, scrambled egg, fried veggie, and a few other dishes which Darlin and I dun eat.. LOL! But I muz say for it was quite a spread for breakfast!

We then transferred to Seoul. By the time we reached Seoul, it's lunch time! Haha! For lunch, we had mixed rice, as in rice mixed with chix, variety of cabbage (mainly big cabbage), and Korea Nian Gao.. I dun realli like the lunch, especialli the Nian Gao.. Hee..

Our 1st destination for the day after the hours of travellin is to Nami Island! We spent an hr on Nami Island! I tink Nami Island is more like a place to showcase the various scenes of the Korean show, Winter Sonata. Pics of the male & female leads were evident in most parts of Nami Island! If not, it's bascialli a place with lotsa trees, and air of arts & culture! Haha! All in all, it's quite a romantic place! =p

Next, we went to a small shoppin street.. The shoppin street was so small dat Darlin & I managed to comb thru the entire area within an hr! I bought 2 rolls of ribbons for my card-makin @SGD1.10 each onli from a store called Eco Mart! Wow! Very value buy! As I was abit hungry already due to all the shoppin, we bought a RotiBoy & an iced Chocolate b4 we set off to Sorak Daemyung Resort (the journey will take abt 2.5hrs!) Probably we din eat RotiBoy for quite sometime already, we found the RotiBoy to b extremely delicious! The butter fragrance is especialli nice! The service by the staff is definitely THUMBS UP! Wat happened was the service staff who served us the Iced Chocolate din know we dun wanna the whipped cream. He had already squeezed on abit (juz a very tiny amt) when his colleagues pointed out to him we dun wanna the whipped cream. He then took away the whipped cream for us very carefulli and made sure there isn't any trace of the whipped cream on the cup! Wow! Excellent service!!! =ppp

We had dinner near Mt Sorak (BBQ Pork with Sotong & Cabbage). It was not bad! After dinner, we bought a packet of Black Sesame Candy & Seaweed Cracker from a van outside the eatery where we had dinner.. The Black Sesame Candy is nice!

We reached Sorak Daemyung Resort within a very short period of time. It was already nightfall, and we can all feel the cold.. Allen told us dat the temperature is abt 10 degrees celsius @nitez, and so we dun even need any air-con in the room! True enough, we dun need.. But for ppl who still feel it's not coolin enough, ya can juz open the window, and WOW! Ya can feel the cold!!!We slept the very traditional way in this resort.. Which is to sleep on the floor! *faintz* Sleepin on a padded mat on the floor realli wasn't comfortable at all.. I dun like it one bit...
