Mama Helped Me With "Nitez Shift" !

Awokened by Granny @9:30am to eat breakfast. It's said dat durin confinement, mommies cannot go hungry, and muz eat ALL the proper meals plus tea time, and supper.

Ti visited Precious Jaen in the noon time, and bought a set of clothin for Precious Jaen! He was very excited when carryin Precious Jaen in his arms! After all, it's his 1st time @carryin a newborn, and somemore, it's his godson! Haha! He kept on playin with Precious Jaen!

Mama helped me to take care of Precious Jaen @nitez. Had been very tough on her since she gotta feed Precious Jaen @4:30am & 7am. Basicalli, she din sleep @all! *thankie, Mama*

Baby Blues !

I'm havin Baby Blues!!! This morn, Darlin spotted me cryin! Upon askin, I told him I tink i din do a good job in takin care of Precious Jaen yest nitez, and it's like I'm incapable of doin anythingy ritez (even ez tasks such as changin diapers)! So when I c Precious Jaen cryin, I cried along, too. Darlin tried his very best to console me..

Mama also spotted me cryin.. I told her abt my Baby Blues too, and she comforted me by sayin this is juz part and parcel of givin birth.

Allan & FangFang visited Precious Jaen and I in noon time. I told them abt it too.. They then related to me of their experience in takin care of BB Andre. Allan also mentioned dat I need not be too uptight over such trivial thingys, and that it's also common for babis to hiccup, so there's no big hoohaa to it. After talkin to them, I do feel a lot betta!

Gary also called to ask me how's thingys. I told him the challenge comes only when it's late @nitez, so gotta c how 1st..

Darlin tried his best to reach home as early as possible. From the way he fed Precious Jaen, changed his diapers, and even burped Precious Jaen, I know he muz have asked ard on how to take care of Precious Jaen so dat he can then teach me.

When nitez came, I realized my phobia of hearin Precious Jaen's cries is back! I tried to overcome it. i took care of Precious Jaen from 3+am till 7am. Precious Jaen is so cute!!! I pretended to sleep, and he actualli lemme sleep while his eyes juz roamed ard the room. When he gets real bored, then he "woke" me up. LOL! Well, Allan mentioned dat babies are unable to differentiate between day and nitez time in the initial phase, so it's okie for Precious Jaen to sleep in the day time, and get active @nitez.. I realli muz sleep already...

Luckily, Mama came to my rescue! I passed Precious Jaen to Mama, and fell asleep soon after..

Home Sweet Home With My Honey Boy !!!

Discharged near 12pm. B4 dat, tried to breastfeed Precious Jaen again. With the help of the nurse, it was a success this time! East Shore gave us lotsa items e.g. wet tissue, tissue, diapers, toiletries for Precious Jaen, go-out bag, instant Enfalac Milk Powder, etc when we were goin home.

Granny, and Dad were already @Kor's house when we reached. Tried to breastfeed Precious Jaen again in noon time but to no avail.

Godma, Jacqueline, and Charmayne visited me and Precious Jaen @nitez. They bought me lotsa practical stuffs e.g. Milo, soda crackers, sesame oil, fan for Precious Jaen's pram/cot, mittens, booties, and a teether!

Tried to breastfeed Precious Jaen again @nitez. Eventualli, I gave up..

Precious Jaen slept too muchie in noon time. Therefore, couldn't get to sleep @nitez. Darlin & I took turns to feed Precious Jaen, and to change him.

It was a tirin nitez..

2nd Day @East Shore

It was realli hard to go into deep sleep until near 4am. However, the nurse woke me up @6am to pee! It was a success this time even though it took me 10mins to 15mins to do so! B4 goin to the washroom, the nurse removed the drip for me. Blood trickled down after the drip removal!

I even nearly fell down in the washroom as I was too weak. I haven't eaten anythingy muchie since the McHotcakes Meal yest morn, and after deliverin Precious Jaen, I onli drank half a small cup of Milo and half a small cup of hot milk.

Lotsa ppl came to visit Precious Jaen & I. There were Mama, Sis, Daddy, Mommy, John, Angela, May, her hubby, Xiaoti (Precious Jaen's Godpapa!), Jasmine, and Jobian! We also received lotsa gifts from Wayne and Candy, Karris, Jasmine, Jobian, and May! *thankie to all*

Soon, it's nitez time! =p

The BIGGEST Day Of Our Lives !

Woke up @5:30am! Had McHotcakes for breakfast! B4 we knew it, it's time to head to East Shore Hospital!


8am: Reached East Shore Hospital Admission Counter

8:45am: @Delivery Ward. Took my weight (weighs 73.5kg! Gained 1.5kg within 4dayz!)

9:30am: Start to induce (burst waterbag, have already dilated 3cm.)

10:30am: Start to feel contraction (pain level @2 out of 10)

11:05am: Start to feel more pain (pain level @3)

11:35am: Pain level @3.5

11:50am: Pain level @4

12:45pm: Pain level @5

1:10pm: Dilated 5-6cm

1:15pm: Pain level @5.5cm

1:30pm: Thigh injection was given to help bring down pain level. It worked! I dozed on and off till 3:15pm where I start to feel slight pain again.

4pm: More and more pain

4:55pm: Ask for assistance

5pm: Dr Heng checked dat I've dilated 6cm. Realized the reason as to why I dilated so slow was due to urine in me. She then released the urine for me. Intense pain was felt.

5:05pm: Had wanna go for epi. Darlin asked me to give it more thought. When he finalli gave in to me, the nurse advised against it coz since it's peak hrs @dat time, by the time the doc who's in charge of givin epi reached, I might've already given birth! Therefore, 2nd thigh injection was given to help bring down the pain level. However, the injection does not work this time round (probably the pain was realli too muchie!)

6pm: The nurse checked dat I've dilated 8-9cm. Asked me to start pushin from there whenever there's contractions.

7:29pm: Dr Heng came! With the help of 2 other nurses, my efforts in pushin, and the vacuum, I'd delivered Precious Jaen!!! YEAH!!! Precious Jaen weighs 2.81kg, and length 49cm!

Was extremely exhuasted from all the pushin today! I kept on dozin off str8 after I delivered Precious Jaen! However, it was interrupted sleep all the way as the nurses kept checkin in on the other Mom besides me, takin our blood pressure, etc. And the way they pushed open the door wasn't light either; one of the push scared me up from my sleep @2+am! B4 dat, the nurse urged me to pee. But to no avail.

Anyway, most of the credit realli goes a lot to Darlin Hubby who's constantly by my side showerin me with all the support I needed! Darlin Hubby kept on motivatin me, and recordin for me all that's happened in the delivery ward, and even gave me the privilege to almost tear his fav. Nike jacket (which he was wearin for the 1st time), and his fav. Uniqlo strip top. I'm also grateful dat Darlin realli supported me not to take epi so dat I finalli emerged as a true winner! Realli thankie so muchie, Darlin!!! Ya're the best!!! I LOVE YA!!! *muackz*

Gettin All Prep Up For Tmm !!!

It's now 9pm on 9th Nov 2009 (my EDD)! No signs/symptoms yet!! So I'll need to get ready for induce tmm! Wow!

I told Angela I'd rather not know I'll b admitted to hospital tmm. I know it sounds funny.. But to know I'll b induce tmm means I know I'll experience the pain tmm! I'd rather the pain catch me off guard! Haha! At least, the scene of me in pain will not b re-run in my mind over and over again..

I told myself I muz b brave! Wat kept me goin is to c Boy Boy in my arms! I also read Motherhood forum today so as to get motivation from those brave mothers who made it thru WITHOUT EPIDURAL! I hope to b like them!

Knowin I'll c Boy Boy tmm indeed takes my mind off the pain! I know it'll b all WORTH IT!

I asked Darlin yest whether he feels more excited over our weddin or Boy Boy's arrival! Both of us agreed unanimously dat it is the latter!!! LOL!

It'll gotta b an early day for me tmm! Gotta reach East Shore Hospital between 7:30am to 8am! Then it'll b a BRAND NEW STAGE for Darlin & I!!! SO EXCITIN!!! =ppp

Lunchin Out With The Whole Family + Darlin & I Prepared Dinner Together !!!

It's been awhile since we (Daddy, Mommy, John, Angela, Darlin & I) last ate out together! The previous time was to celebrate Mommy's BD!

It's a rare occasion dat the whole family is @home when I woke up @12pm today! So, we went out to lunch together! Though it's juz lunchin @a nearby coffeeshop, we're already very happie coz there's bondin time! Laughter filled the 1hr+ lunch time!

Daddy and Mommy went on with their own program after lunch. Darlin & I sent John & Angela to Tampines Mall (they're catchin a movie there) as we're headin there, too! Since I'm goin into confinement soon, I might as well grab the chance to shop ard! Haha!

Darlin & I prepared dinner together! I prepared the plain porridge while Darlin fried the luncheon meat, egg, and chix patty! Though it's a simple dinner, I'm already very happie! Hee!
