Moving Into New House !

It's our 7th Dating Anniversary! Guess wat??!!! We're movin into our new house today!!!

Daddy woke up @5+am to help us move the boxes of stuffs into his van himself while Darlin & I were still in dreamland... Hee.. *thankie, Daddy*

By the time the boxes of stuffs reached our new house, it's alrdy 9+am! Daddy looked ard the house for awhile before makin a move. Daddy. and Mommy helped us to look after Precious Jaen, while Maria looked after Baobei Jaers when Darlin & I were bz unpackin, and tidyin up our new nest! *thankie, Daddy and Mommy*

By 1pm, we still weren't even halfway done! We decided to double up the speed! After a quick lunch @the "highclass" coffee shop near our new house, we hurriedly went back to unpack, and do more tidyin!

Almost 90% of the stuffs were unpack, and tidied, and cleaned, and kept by Darlin! *thankie a million, Darlin! ya're the best*

Soon it was almost 8pm! We still have abt 30% of the stuffs left... As it was really too late alrdy, Darlin suggested consolidatin the 30% into the studytoom... Well, left with no choice, that's wat we did! Haha!

By the time we reached Tampines to fetch Precious Jaen, Baobei Jaers, and Maria, we realized we've stil got lotsa miscellaneous stuffs to take back to our new nest.... It was another tedious journey...

I called Pizza Hut on the way back home.. Who knows, I gotta wait 90mins for the delivery! *faintz* Then I called KFC.. I got for a very long time for the delivery, too! Finally, Darlin remembered there's a KFC near our house which is located in a deserted area, so we decided to try our luck there! *yuppie* Very soon, we finally got our dinner cum supper!

It was really a very tiring and yet memorable way to spend our 7th Dating Anniversary!

Boabei Jaers' Teeth Are Out !

I was amazed to c our Baobei Jaers' bottom 2 teeth today! Baobei Jaers is exactly 7mths old today, and his 2 teeth are out!!!

Cooking Again !

Decided to cook again today!

This time, I'm more adventurous as I'm goin to cook 2 Chinese dishes (Tomato Omelette, and Dark Soy Sauce Chix) at one go!

To my surprise, I took slightly less than an hr to cook!

The Tomato Omelette turned out to be too wet for Darlin and my likin.. The Dark Soy Sauce Chix tasted abit bitter as it was slightly burnt (as I was lookin for the Oyster Sauce). However, Darlin said he quite like it! Of coz, there's still room for improvement. Haha!

The one comment that warmed my heart was that Darlin said: "My wife has really improved!"

I was really happy to hear that! I also know that Darlin appreciated my cookin coz he finished both dishes though he dun really like the Tomato Omelette!

Baobei Jaers Slept For 8hrs Straight !

Wow! Baobei Jaers slept for 8hrs straight at nite before waking up for milk!

A part of me felt happy since I'll get to sleep longer at nitez.. But a bigger part of me hope for him not to sleep for a straight 8hrs.. Coz if he sleeps for longer hours, he'll miss out on one or two feeds durin the nite time.. I would prefer him to drink more milk! Hee!

Cereal Prawns !

After restin for so long, finally I decided to cook again! Haha!

Dunno y, I chose to try Cereal Prawns!

It turned out great! Every prawns, and even the cereal bits was all gone! Heehee!

Baobei Jaers' Diarrhea is Back...

Despite still takin Friso Soy Milk, Baobei Jaers' diarrhea is back... He has not completely recover from his flu yet, too....

His appetite has yet to resume either...

My heart continued to ache...

Followin the traumatic espisode yesterday nite, Baobei Jaers has seedy poo today.. His appetite was also very much affected...

My heart ached alot upon seein this...

Baobei Jaers' 1st Fall, and He Puked !

I was watchin TV outside with Darlin while Maria was in the kitchen.

All of a sudden, I heard a loup thud, followed by Baobei Jaers' loud cries! I quickly ran into the room, hopin it's not wat I've imagined it to be.. Who knows, Baobei Jaers really fell onto the floor! Maria entered the room 1st, and she saw Baobei Jaers on the floor! Poor Baobei Jaers was cryin his lungs out! My heartache so much when I heard it.. I hurriedly carried him over into my arms from Maria, and soothed him as best as I can..

Finally, Baobei Jaers slept. When he woke up again, I made him some milk. Who knows, he kept pushin the bottle away, and kept wailin away... Nothin we did can calm him down.. Maria then tried to burp him.. I was shocked to c Baobei Jaers puked! He was all dirtied, as well as Maria bedsheets, and clothes! I realized wat he had puked out were the pieces of pear in the Pear Puree that Maria had made him earlier on! I was really angry abt this as I've told Maria to make sure that the pear is really in puree form before feedin Baobei Jaers with it! I've even told her to taste it herself to be very sure abt it!

I was relieved to see that Baobei Jaers felt much betta after he puked the pieces of pear out..

All night along, I woke up every 15mins to 30mins as Baobei Jaers din sleep well.. I had to wake up to pacify him, to cradle him in my arms, and to sing to him.. I was really exhausted... Maria was supposed to wake up @7am. But I was so tired that I asked her to take over me @6:15am...

Baobei Jaers Started on Pear Puree !

Baobei Jaers had his 1st taste of Pear Puree today, and he loves it! Hee!

Baobei Jaers is Betta, and 1st Taste of Potato Puree !

*yeah* Baobei Jaers is much betta! He poo-ed one time yesterday, and well, for today he haven't poo as of the time I'm updatin this blog... LOL!

I felt much relieved! However, I can't kiss Baobei Jaers or go too close to him as I've got a bad cough n sore throat which resulted in me "losin my voice"...

Baobei Jaers had his 1st taste of Potato Puree today! Oh, btw, he loves his rice cereal now! Hee! He's eating the cereal mixed with 40ml of milk now! Hee! I mixed Friso Soy into the Potato Puree, too, as it was a bit dry! As expected, Baobei Jaers still can't really accept the taste of Potato Puree! LOL! His expressions when tryin out the puree were realy cute!

I'll try the Potato Puree again tmm! In time to come, I'm sure Baobei Jaers will love it the way he loves his Rice Cereal! =p

Baobei Jaers has Diarrhea

Baobei Jaers has been poo-ing several times (4-5 times/day) since last Friday.. However, the poo today contains muscus, too! And today, he actually poo-ed 6 times!

I decided to take him to Dr Ho! Dr Ho diagnosed it to b diarrhea! She gave him a powder oral medication, as well as askin us to change the formula milk to soy milk instead. I bought Friso Soy from Dr Ho.

Hopefully, Baobei Jaers will recover soon!

1st Taste of Rice Cereal for Baobei Jaers !

Baobei Jaers had his first taste of Rice Cereal today!

Well, he still doesn't exactly know how to eat the cereal off the spoon, as well as to swallow it. But it's realli cute to c his facial expressions when tastin the cereal!

Precious Jaen Brushes His Own Teeth !

Maria told me yesterday that Precious Jaen knows how to brush his own teeth! I couldn't believe it! I had to see for myself!

I specially woke up early this morning to see how Precious Jaen brushes his own teeth! To my surprise, he really took the toothbrush, and put it into his mouth! He does has the brushin action, juz dat it's still not cleaned really thoroughly..

Still, it's a really great achievement comparin to a few months back when he wouldn't even let the toothbrush touch his teeth!

Baobei Jaers Flipped For The 1st Time !

Baobei Jaers was wailing in the room while Maria was making milk for him in the kitchen. I was in the livin room.. Hearin Baobei's cries, I went into the room..

To my surprise, Baobei was on his tummy! I immediately went to ask Maria if she was the one who put Baobei on his tummy.. She said no..

Dat means..... Baobei flipped on his own!!! WOW!

Precious Jaen Is Actively Learnin To Talk !

Precious Jaen is 22.5mths old today! And....... He's actively learnin to express himself now through talkin now!!! So Teacher Ang is right after all! She said that boys will actively learn to talk ard 22nd mth to 23rd mth!

He's more willing to try to speak the words that we taught him, and some of the words that came outta his mouth sounds funny, and cute @the same time! Though sometimes, we can't exactly make out wat he's sayin, it's really funny to c him makin his best effort to tell us wat he wanna convey to us!

A Very Happy And Tired Night Out !

Darlin had been very busy with his work lately.. So we haven't had a good chat for abt a week alrdy.. Had wanna go Star Bucks to chill with Darlin, but Darlin suggested to go our new Punggol house to take a look, and to sort out for meansurements instead.

I agreed since I haven't went to our Punggol house for a long time! Wonder how's the reno progress comin along now! Heehee!

We stayed @our Punngol house from 11pm to abt 1am! Wow! But I muz say I'm quite satisfied with the overall design of our house! *thankie a million to my Darlin Hubby for puttin in all the effort and time on own love nest*

We then headed over to FairPrice Extra @NEX Shoppin Mall since it's opened 24hrs! A pity they do not help to deliver grocery even if we spent over $150.. We were @FairPrice from almost 2am to 4+am! WOW! But it's really fun! There were so little ppl there that we seemed to b the only customers there! We can really take our own sweet time to browse through the items we want with the big NTUC trolley down each grocery lane without havin to worry that we might b blockin anyone's way! And we're not tired at all! Muz have been too overwhelmed by the whole shoppin trip! Hee! We spent almost $100 in all! Hee!

Since it's so "early" in the morn, we went to McDonalds for breakfast! WOW!

Darlin was really exhausted after breakfast. When we reached home, he took a quick bath, and headed for bed! After sleepin for an hr+, Darlin was up and awake to get ready to move the packed cartons into our Punggol house together with the help of Daddy, and Maria!

Realli hope we can move into our very own house asap! Hee!

Mid-Autumn Festival !

I haven't had such an enjoyable Mid-Autumn Festival!

After Precious Jaen came back from sch, Darlin and I brought him to the garden downstairs to play with his "Angry Bird" lantern which Godma bought for him, and also to lit sparklers! Had wanna bring Baobei Jaers along, too! But he was sleepin alrdy... Hee.. Darlin specially went from shop to shop to find the sparklers as most shops ran out of stock for it! Darlin bought 12 sparklers but Precious Jaen din even finished playin one packet (6 sparklers in one packet).. LOL!

Precious Jaen enjoyed himself alot, too! Besides playin with the lantern and sparklers, he also played the slide @the playground! Precious Jaen ran here and there, laughin away.... He even learnt how to speak the word "Please"! Haha! What happened was coz all the runnin made him very thirsty. Darlin then went to buy a bottle of mineral water for him. I asked Precious Jaen to say "Please". Upon the 3rd time, he really spoke the word! Darlin and I were thrilled!

When we reached home, Darlin and I ate Bakerzin Mooncakes while savourin Dilmah Premium Ceylon Tea, and browsin through our Honeymoon pics! *happie*

Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration @The Zoo !

Singapore Zoo is havin its 1st ever Mid-Autumn Festival celebration with free admission to the public from 6pm onwards on 11th Sep and 12th Sep 2011!

Darlin decided to bring the kids there!

We also arranged to meet Gary's family and Rongwei's family there!

There were lotsa ppl @the Zoo! There were also free carousel rides that the kids can play! But the queue was too long... So we din let the kids play in the end. We also gave the free face paintin a miss as it was too crowded!

Even the President, Tony Tan, was present! The crowd gotta gave way to him! *faintz* It caused such a big hoo-haa! All of us were very tired and sweaty when nite came as the crowd got more n more... The lightin were bad, too... We gotta stick close to each other in order not to lose our way..

We left after tourin ard the Zoo for an hr plus... We went to Bedok Point to have our dinner @the KungFu Cafe! The food served were realli yummy except that the portion is too small! One of the crew was very friendly! He offered an Oreo Cookie, and a small portion of Vanilla Ice-cream to Precious Jaen! It was then that Darlin and I realized that Precious Jaen dun like to eat ice-cream (or mayb juz Vanilla Ice-cream)! LOL!

It was an enjoyable day overall.... As for the Zoo..... Well, it's more of an experience! Haha!

Baobei Jaers Is Little Botak !

So excited for Baobei Jaers!!

He's goin to b Little Botak today! Was supposed to shave botak tmm (which he'll turn exactly 4mths old). But Darlin only has time to bring us to Godma's place today... Hee!

We even brought Precious Jaen along as his hair needs some trimmin, too!

Baobei is a brave little boy! He did not wail one bit durin the shavin process! Within minutes, it's done! Our Little Botak has emerged! Haha!

To our surprise, Baobei Jaers looked even cuter and more handsome when he's botak! Haha! Also, he looked even more like Precious Jaen with a hairless head! Haha!

When we reached home, I fed Baobei Jaers with some Apple puree (I steamed the apple beforehand). Baobei Jaers did not eat the Apple puree; only tasted it. Haha! And, he got a funny expression on his face after tastin it! *cute*

Will probably feed him with more types of food when he turns 5mths! Hee!

BD Gathering With Ti and Gang !

Met up with Ti and Gang for Sep' Babies' BD gathering! This yr is a little bit different in the choice of our celebration venue.... We ate @the coffee shop @Yishun Blk 900+! LOL! We ordered the chix rice, and a few dishes from the "Zhu (2) Chao (3)".

We then went over to Starbucks Northpoint for a chill-out session! All of us had an enjoyable night, chatting and laughin away!

Hope to have more of these gatherings! Hee!

Walkin Down Memory Lane

A sudden urge overcame me..

A sudden urge to develop hard copies photos of our Europe Trip in Sep 2010, and our Honeymoon in South Korea in May 2009, and put them into an album!

I've done this before for our previous trips to HK, Taiwan, etc... The end project is very satisfyin!

As I browsed thru the soft copies of our Europe Trip and South Korea Trip, lotsa wonderful memories came to my mind...

From the pics, I also realized I'm a lot fatter now......

So... I'm all the more determined to LOSE WEIGHT!

1st Family Outing For The Kids !

*yuppie* We finally went on a family outing to Changi Airport! Not dat we never went out before.. Juz dat everytime we go out, it's alwaz shoppin, and dining... The activities are not kids-friendly at all..

So this time round, it's the 1st kids-friendly outing we're havin! *so happie*

We 1st chilled @Wang Cafe Terminal 3 since Precious Jaen was nappin. By the time we're done chillin, he's still nappin! Haha! So we went over to Terminal 2 to look for the Aviation Gallery!

Who knows we din find it as it was located in the Viewin Mall of Terminal 1 now! LOL! So we took the sky train and went to Terminal 1 instead!

Finally, Precious Jaen woke up while we're on the way to Terminal 1! He ran ard happily as there's lotsa runnin area! When we reached the Viewin Mall, Precious Jaen wasn't that interested in the planes; he was more interested in continuin to run ard! I joined in the fun, and Precious Jaen had a great time chasin after me! LOL!

It was a really fun outin for us! Probably I shld really plan more of such activities! I guess when Baobei Jaers grows up, it'll be even more fun to see the 2 kids runnin ard, and chasin after each other! Haha!

We dined @Coffee Club Raffles City. Each of us had a main, and a drink, and we shared a piece of yummilicious mud pie!!! *happie*

We had a long chat @Coffee Club. Without realizin, it's alrdy 9:30pm! Time to head for home! =)

Pasta Salad !

Attempted Pasta Salad today!

Not bad for 1st attempt!

A pity Darlin dun realli like italian food, especially COLD ones.... He ate only a very small mouthful to show appreciation for me... Nvm.. It's good enough alrdy! At least, he ate a bit! Haha!

Initially, I only added in Italian dressin after which I put the big bowl of Pasta Salad into the fridge. After browsin through several more recipes did I realize that I needa add in salt and black pepper for seasonin purpose! No wonder my salad lacks something no matter how much Italian dressin I drizzled over it.. LOL!

I immediately took the salad outta the fridge, and added in salt and pepper!

Dat's when it turned out good! Heehee!

Improved Version of Beancurd Skin with Gingko and Barley !

Decided to improvise on my Beancurd Skin with Gingko and Barley by crushin the Beancurd Skin into realli small pieces usin bare hands before cookin them.

Wow! It was a success!

It turned out very well received!

Green Bean Soup !

Tried cookin Green Bean Soup!

Din know it takes so long to get the green beans to "open up"...

I took abt 2hrs to cook it!

I personally tink that it doesn't taste very nice....... But........... Darlin LOVES IT! And, that's the most important thing! He even had a 2nd helpin!

Heehee!

Chocolate Graham Biscuit !

Tried to make chocolate biscuit usin Graham biscuit!

The recipe actually calls for cornflakes... But since I've no cornflakes, I thought of substitutin it with Graham biscuit..

Well... The result is distastrous! One reason is due to the usage of salted butter when the recipe calls for unsalted one... Can't imagine wat a big difference it makes..

The chocolate biscuits turned out to b salty! Arghhh!

Not goin to try it again especially since Darlin said it tasted horrible!

5 Minutes Chocolate Mug Cake !

After browsin thru lotsa blogs, I finally gave the 5 minutes Chocolate Mug Cake a try!

Well, mayb if I were to try it again next time, I juz microwave it 2.5 minutes rather than the 3 minutes (coz I find it abit dry) as mentioned in the recipes.

All in all, it turned out great! Haha! But only Maria and I got to eat it coz I read from the recipes that if I were to eat it after the cake cooled down, it'll be hard! So I din leave any for Darlin..

And coz it's too chocolatey, the pics din turn out too nice.. Dat's y I omitted the pics.. Hee!

Cream of Potato and Bacon !

Not so long ago, I tried to make Cream of Mushroom and Ham.. It was a failed attempt as I did not do a good job at mixin the flour into the mixture.. As a result, it became lumpy.. The soup was so inedible that I pour the whole pot away!

Thus, I was rather apprehensive at tryin out Cream of Potato and Bacon.. But I told myself that this time round, the soup will definitely turn out betta. And so, I convinced myself that in order to improve, I muz keep on tryin and tryin!

Indeed the result turned out good! Heehee! The whole pot was finished by the whole family! LOL!

The only thing that needs to be improved is probably next time I should use lesser grated cheddar as the soup turned out slightly saltish since there's already bacon in it.. Also, the celery needs to be cooked longer.. Hee..

Sweet Potato Dessert !

2nd try @dessert - Sweet Potato Dessert!

I bought 2 different kinda sweet potato, the orange flesh, and yellow flesh ones (approximately 500g)!

This dessert turned out great! I learnt something while preparin this dessert, too! That is, yellow flesh sweet potatoes (appearance is purple color) take a shorter time to cook! Hee!

Darlin suggested puttin Barley into the dessert which makes it even yummier! Hee!

A pity Darlin still prefer Beancurd Skin with Barley and Gingko Nuts dessert! So, I gotta brush up on dat! =)

Beancurd Skin with Gingko Nuts and Barley Sweet Soup !

Dunno wat else to try out in pastries, so I decided to try desserts! Hee!

Beancurd Skin with Gingko Nuts and Barley is the 1st dessert to come to my mind as it's Darlin's favourite dessert!

I only managed to buy a can of Gingko Nuts after I've asked the 4th store! Faintz... Izzit so diffcult to find juz one can of Gingko Nuts??!!!

Anyway, this dessert turned out fine except that it'll be even betta had I changed the sequence of puttin in the ingredients to the followin:

1. Barley as it takes the longest time to cook. Also, that's no need to soak the barley as instructed in the recipe.

2. Beancurd skin as I wanna it to be really soft.. I made the mistake of puttin it in last... I shld also have tear it into even smaller pieces..

3. Ginkgo Nuts since it's the fastest to be cooked.

Also, Darlin prefers it to be sweeter.. Haha!

Well, hopefully the next attempt will be betta. =)

Anyway, the whole pot (which is quite a big pot) was finished by nite time! Darlin even had 2nd helpin! Hee!

Vanilla Cupcakes !

Decided to try doin cupcakes again!

Except dat this time, it's not pan-bakin.... I'm goin to try using steamin! Heehee!

Well, as ya can c from the pic, the appearance definitely looks betta compared to pan-bakin! Juz dat I tink I need to steam it longer coz the centre portion seems abit undone.. LOL!

Overall, it's good! Haha!

Makin Huat Kway !

Went shoppin @Carrefour yest! Spotted this Huat Kway Mix!

I was thrilled when I saw it coz it seems really easy to prepare! Most importantly, Darlin loves to eat Huat Kway! And of coz, Precious Jaen can have a try @it, too! Heehee!

The result was good! @least, it really looks like Huat Kway! I watsapp Darlin the pic, and he sounded happie abt it! Haha!

I was the 1st to taste it...

Mmmmm...... Good! Haha!

My Precious Jaen Is A Big Boy Now !!!

Juz 2.5mths into childcare, I can see that Precious Jaen has grown a lot!!!

This few days, he really shocked me with the amount of things he learnt in childcare!

The followin are what he did:
1. Knows wat is the commonly known body parts (eyes, ears, nose, mouth, hair, hands, legs, and even eyebrows) in Chinese! He can correctly point out to ya where they are!

2. Knows how to listen to instruction. There were 2 occasions where we tested him. 1st time, we asked him to throw things into the dustbin. He did! In fact, he loves to throw things into the dustbin! 2nd time, I asked him to bring Didi's dirty laundry to Maria. From our room, he walked to the kitchen and passed it to Maria! Wow!

3. Knows that he should return the things he took out to the respective places.

4. Learns things pretty fast now! E.g. we told him "act cute" is to put 1 finger from each hand to each cheek. Darlin only told him 2 times, and he actually remembered it!!!

I'm sure there're still a lot of other things about my little boy which will amaze me.. Juz that I've yet to find out wat they are..

I'm glad we made the right choice in putting Precious Jaen to childcare! =ppp

Macadamia Chocolate Chip Cookies !!!

1st attempt @Macadamia Chocolate Chip Cookies!!!

Had wanna bake Macadamia Cookies @1st (Darlin suggested this), but since it's so bored to juz have one ingredient, and also seein that's only that little bit of chocolate chip left in the fridge, I might as well bake Macadamia Chocolate Chip Cookies! LOL!

Anyway, by Darlin's standard, it was a success!!! Personally, it wasn't to my expectation... In fact, I thought it's a bit sweet... But the most important thing is Darlin's approval! Also, Precious Jaen tried it! And..... he asked for more of it after the 1st bite!!! Hee!

1st Attempt @Potato Gratin !

So excited! Today's gonna be my 1st attempt @Potato Gratin!

I was hesitant @1st as to whether I should try it today coz a part of me is lazy to do it... In the end, I told myself to juz do it since I'll b tryin it in our new house anyway!

So after Maria and I brought Little Baobei to the PD (coz Little Baobei's left ear got pus in which Dr Ho said it's due to the skin being too dry and on top of that, there's abrasion, therefore, the pus...), we went to the nearby Shop 'N' Save to buy the necessary ingredients (potatoes, bread crumbs, and butter) for the making of Potato Gratin!

The result: taste is betta then my expectation but the looks can be improved! Haha!

Maria Came Today !

We received news yesterday that we can go pick Maria, our domestic helper, up today!

When I received news of it yesterday, it came as a surprise to me coz wat the agent told us was the earliest Maria will come is next week! I thought I'm already prepared to have this new person in out house, who knows, I'm actually not prepared for it at all. I've no idea how to live with a total stranger! I'm abit scared at the thought of this...

Anyway, Maria picked things up rather fast! When she dun understand wat I'm talkin abt, she'll ask me again. And after I've told her wat she needs to do, she remembered it immediately! The best part is that Precious Jaen took only abt 3hrs to get accustomed to Maria! *phew* I was really worried initially that Precious Jaen will not be used to it! Haha!

So all my worries turned out to be uncalled for! LOL!

Wonderful Wednesday !

It's been so long since Darlin & I set down for a proper meal to bond! We haven't had a proper chat for months too since he's bz with Precious Jaen while I'm bz with Little Baobei! Haha!

Finally, today we got the chance to have breakfast together! Credits go to Mommy coz she's not goin out early today! Hee!

After sendin Precious Jaen to sch, Darlin & I went to our new house to take a look @the reno progress before having breakfast @Mac Tampines Mall! We had a great chat! *happie*

We then went to shop for some items to put in our new house as Mommy said we can take our own time since her program for the day isn't fixed yet! Haha!

After shoppin, we went back home to fetch Little Baobei before goin to fetch Godma to Katong Shoppin Centre as we need Godma's help in selecting our domestic helper! Everything went great! We even put $200 as deposit! If everything goes smoothly, we'll expect the domestic helper to be here in as fast as 10 days!

Darlin, me, Godma, and Little Baobei went for a drink. Then we went to fetch Precious Jaen up from sch! We went to Godma's house for awhile, then we went back home!

It's alrdy 8pm by the time we reached home! Haha!

I haven't enjoyed myself as much as today for 2mths alrdy! It seems like yrs to me! Haha! Though today is a very simple day with no fanciful dinner or pressies, or shoppin @any special place, it's good enough for me... =p

Dining Set Confirmed, and Precious Jaen Hurted Himself !

Has confirmed our dining set (cost $1,260) @Wynn @Furniture Mall (same shop where we bought our sofa!)

However, my Precious Jaen got hurt in the end with a cut between the right eyebrow n right eye! It bled so much dat my mood was totally spoilt, and my heart bled, too...

What happened was Precious Jaen was running ard in the furniture shop while Darlin was bz choosin the dining set and I was feedin Little Baobei...

It really hurt my heart to see my hungry and tired Precious Jaen wailing loudly with blood trickling profusely from the open wound....

Success @Steamed Egg !

I succeeded in makin steamed egg w/o unsightly holes @the top!

The secret formula is to add water (1 egg to 100ml of water) n cover it while steaming (I used aluminium foil)!

Darlin's BD !

With Precious Jaen & Little Baobei with us, we decided to celebrate Darlin's BD @home by orderin Pizza Hut delivery instead! Hee!

Though we din get to eat out this yr, somehow, I'm still very happy! Hee!

To me, as long as we get to celebrate as a family, dat's good enough! =ppp

BD Surprise For Darlin !

Tmm is Darlin's 30th BD!!!

I asked Mom to come over to help me take care of Little Baobei while I go Tampines 1 to get "surprise" for Darlin! Hee!

I immediately went to Sportlinks @Tampines 1 to get the latest season Man U jersey for Darlin! I thought for quite sometime before settlin on this pressie which I know Darlin will definitely LOVE! Hee! U.P. is $99 but as GSS is in now, there's a 10% discount storewide. So I paid only $89.10! Of coz it's good to have the discount, but I'm happier coz I know Darlin will definitely LOVE the surprise pressie! Hee!

I then went in search of a card for Darlin!

Lastly, I headed down to Rive Gauche Patisserie @Basement 1 to get a cake! Upon recommendation by the service staff, I got a small Strawberry Shortcake. Again, there's 10% discount on the cake! So I paid only $25.20! All thanx to GSS! LOL!

We cut the cake at nite with the whole family (except for Mommy who was out mahjonging). Precious Jaen even cut the cake with Darlin! The cake was very yummy and was well-received by everyone! Hee! When Darlin 1st spotted the cake in the fridge, he was pleasantly surprised, and kept on askin where do I find the time to go buy? Haha!

I showed Darlin the pressie @midnight when he was already asleep with Precious Jaen in the Mommy's room. He was really surprised to c the pressie! From the look in his eyes, I know he's very happy and touched, too! =p

When Darlin returned to our room, he saw the BD card! He was very happy to c it, too! He tried on the Man U jersey again, and realized that size M is too big. Haha! Shall go get it change within these 7 days. =)

Seein Darlin so happy, I'm very happy too! Hee!

I Prepared Dinner !

I managed to whip up 2 Chinese dish: Sweet & Sour Fish @2nd attempt, and Pork with Ginger @1st attempt for dinner tonitez!

John was also brave enough to join Darlin & I for dinner even after knowin it's my 1st few attempts in cookin the 2 dishes! LOL!

Conclusion: Darlin said 1st attempt @the Sweet & Sour Fish was betta coz this time round, I've added in too much water. As for the Pork with Ginger, it's great except that there could be more gravy! John also finds both dishes not bad! Heehee!

As I was afraid this 2 dishes might not be enough for the 3 of us, I fried 6 more pieces of Luncheon Meat!

All the dishes were finished except for the Pork with Ginger which is really too much for the 3 of us! LOL!

Home-Cooked Lean Meat Porridge, and Sweet & Sour Fish !

For the first time, I marinated meat! In fact, I never marinated anything before... LOL!

Since Granny bought lotsa lean meat for me, thought I can put them to good use by cookin porridge with it!

I marinated usin sesame oil, pepper, and light soy sauce.. Smells nice! Haha!

I also added Spinach to the porridge!

Result: Not yummy! Somewhere, the taste is lackin... Probably not salty enough...

Chinese food is indeed a difficult skill to master... Easy as it might seem, but not when it comes to the practical side... At least I find it tough to master... Never mind! I'll work on it again! As the saying goes: Practice makes perfect!

Also, I cooked Sweet and Sour Fish last week! Turned out great for a 1st timer like me! But I must take note not to fry the fish for too long next time coz it turned out abit hard to chew.. Haha!

End Of My Confinement !

My 30 days of confinement is up! So, the Confinement Aunty is going back today!

I'm really grateful to Aunty for helpin me out during this tough confinement period! She not only did her part in takin care of me & Little Baobei, she also took the initiative to help me look after Precious Jaen, washed and folded the laundry for the whole family, and lots more! She's also a good listener! From here, I've learnt how to cook Quakers Oats, and Sweet and Sour Fish! Somehow, I juz dun get tired of eating the oats every mornin durin the confinement period! Haha!

I cried after Aunty went back. I dunno if it's coz I miss Aunty or coz I'm afraid of coping with everything all by myself.. I guess it's probably a mix of both.

Little Baobei's BB Shower !

This time round, we've divided the celebration into 2 sessions: 1pm to 3pm for relatives, and 6pm to 8pm for friends and colleagues!

@12pm, guests alrdy started to show up. From 12pm till 11+pm, guests started pouring in non-stop! So, Darlin and I also entertained, and talked non-stop for the whole day! *exhausted*

We're really glad we've divided the celebration into 2 sessions coz it's definitely more manageable! Haha! Also, there're enough seats for all the guests! Haha!

There were lotsa branded gifts (Guess Kids Apparels and Shoes, Ralph Lauren Polo-Tee, and original Man United Apparels includin the socks!) and Ang Pows for Little Baobei!

Precious Jaen Took More Steps !

We celebrated Gerard's 2 yrs old BD in the noon time before heading to Granny's place for dinner!

Precious Jaen walked lotsa steps without support @Granny's place! On seeing this, Darlin & I were so thrilled!

2nd Day of CNY, and Advanced V.Day Celebration !

As usual, we went to Mommy's relative's house for CNY gathering! Was almost 3:45pm when we reached!

Darlin & I decided to have advanced V.Day celebration today since Mommy is able to help us take care of Precious Jaen! Hee!

We had our couple time from 5pm onwards! We had already mde a reservation @Pier Side @One Fullerton! Who knows, the menu variety is too limited. After walkin ard and discussin through, we settled for Prego @Fairmont Hotel!

We had 2 sides (Caesar Salad, and Fried Calamari), and 2 mains (Seasoned Pork Chop, and Linguine with Garlic)! Guess wat?! The bill came up to be $138! It was then that I realized that the Distilled Water which we had cost $12! *faintz*

Anyway, the food are not bad but definitely not worth the money.. So we'll not be patronizin Prego again..

However, the ambience was good, and the service staffs were polite! They even had a table hanger for my LV bag! Hee!

1st Day of CNY 2011 !

It's the 1st day of CNY 2011!

We had a tiring and long day as we only headed off to other relatives' place around 12pm from Granny's place.. This is all coz of slowcoach Korkor loz! Dunno wat kept him to only reach Granny's place @12pm when we had already agreed earlier on that the meeting time is 10am..

After CNY visiting @other relatives' place, we even went back to Granny's place for dinner! =p
