Beancurd Skin with Gingko Nuts and Barley Sweet Soup !



Dunno wat else to try out in pastries, so I decided to try desserts! Hee!


Beancurd Skin with Gingko Nuts and Barley is the 1st dessert to come to my mind as it's Darlin's favourite dessert!


I only managed to buy a can of Gingko Nuts after I've asked the 4th store! Faintz... Izzit so diffcult to find juz one can of Gingko Nuts??!!!


Anyway, this dessert turned out fine except that it'll be even betta had I changed the sequence of puttin in the ingredients to the followin:


1. Barley as it takes the longest time to cook. Also, that's no need to soak the barley as instructed in the recipe.


2. Beancurd skin as I wanna it to be really soft.. I made the mistake of puttin it in last... I shld also have tear it into even smaller pieces..


3. Ginkgo Nuts since it's the fastest to be cooked.


Also, Darlin prefers it to be sweeter.. Haha!


Well, hopefully the next attempt will be betta. =)


Anyway, the whole pot (which is quite a big pot) was finished by nite time! Darlin even had 2nd helpin! Hee!
